I am happy to offer you all typical servicing work on modern and historically set-up instruments of the violin family and double basses. This work ensures the functionality and preservation of value of your instrument.
Serving your instrument
Measuring and/or inspecting of primary setup dimensions.
Inspecting for and securing of open cracks and edge seams.
Reconditioning/shooting a worn fingerboard and
reshaping the nut and its notches to improve playability.
Inspecting and redressing of pegs.
Servicing work on the bridge: filling of string notches, repairing bends, etc.
Replacing of worn or damaged soundposts and bridges.
Professional cleaning of varnished surfaces.


Bows
I am also happy to carry out servicing work and small repairs on your bows. For rehairing, I only use hair of the highest quality from a supplier that has been very reliable for years.
Serving your bow
Replacing a worn thumb leather.
Renewing a winding.
Maintaining or replacing a bow screw and nut.
Replacing a damaged head plate.
Rehairing, including cleaning the stick and all parts.
